With Stylish Heels, Inserts Are Your Best Friend

Ladies, we’ve all been there. We’ve put on the pair of cute, stylish heels before breaking them in. Or buy a pair that doesn’t seem to have the kind of cushioning we need. All of our feet are different and what one person can handle, doesn’t mean another can. That’s why padding and inserts are your best friend. Seriously!
I experienced this myself just the other week when I wore a pair of fashion heels to a themed party. They held up well for several hours (til about 3 am!) but because I had placed inserts on the balls of the feet first. I know if I hadn’t done that, my feet would’ve hated me about an hour or two into the party, instead of just at the end of the night.
Heels are hot, sure, but our feet aren’t naturally made to walk like that. So, we need to do what’s best to protect them. Inserts for the balls or heels of your feet, as well as for the ankle so a shoe doesn’t rub, are all great investments. Why suffer to look cute when you can make things more comfortable? No one else needs to know the secret!

Comfortable Ballet Flats Work In a Pinch

I’ll be the first to admit that I sometimes wear shoes that aren’t so comfortable for way too long. Stylish heels sometimes don’t hold up for the whole night like we’d hope. Case and point? New Year’s Eve. I was definitely going to be hurting if I walked to the train in my heels. That’s why comfortable ballet flats were part of my outfit before I even got there. Walking in flats and then changing into heels just before the party was the best thing I could do for my feet.
When choosing comfortable ballet shoes for those moments, you want to make sure they still compliment your outfit in the mean time, especially if you want to change into them for the rest of the night but are still out and about. Black flats are a great option, because they go with most anything. I always have both a pair of black and pair of white flats so that I have something for any color spectrum.
So before you head out in those heels, no matter how cute they are, think about your feet. You don’t want to be limping back home at the end of the night. Ballet flats are easy to hide in that bag and will be your best friend, trust me!

Packing Shoes for Your Winter Getaway

Winter can be an abysmal time, but not so if you’ve got somewhere warm to go! Winter vacations are the best way to get away, warm up, and forget about the snow and chilly weather. I don’t know about you, but the hardest part about packing luggage for me is shoes. So what’s the best thing to pack?

As much as we love all of our cute, affordable shoes, you have to leave most of them behind. I know, it’s tragic. But the best thing you can do is carry only three different shoes.

First, sandals. Especially if you are beaching it! But if you are going to an area with warm weather in general, you want your feet to be comfortable. So sandals are a must!

Second, comfortable walking sneakers are a must. If you are sight seeing in a foreign country or running around Disneyland in the warmer climates of California, you need to have sneakers that are going to hold up to all that walking.

Lastly, take that one awesome pair of stylish heels. You’ll want to plan a nice night out at a restaurant or go out dancing so you have to look fabulous! This is your one choice that can be more free spirited and fun.

Pack well and enjoy your trip!

How to Wear Animal Print Shoes and Look Fab

If there’s one trend that rarely ever disappears, it’s animal print. What changes is where your wearing it. Every year it seems to be different; the animal print dress, then handbag, and this fall? Animal print shoes. They can be worn with the same ferocity as the tiger stripes that adorn them and I can’t wait to pull on a pair of my own. But there are a few rules before wearing these cute, affordable shoes.

  • Don’t mix animal prints. Just don’t do it! Zebra heels and a leopard top is going to look like you are trying way too hard.
  • Let the shoes be the focal point. We all know how eye catching any animal print is so tone down the rest of the outfit.
  • If it’s your first time trying them out, go with zebra print. Why? It’s black and white! These colors make pulling off a full outfit much easier. It’s the perfect entry-level animal print.

Above all else, you have to wear your shoes with confidence! Whether they are tiger print stylish heels or a leopard flat like our Carlton shoe above, strut your stuff and show the world you are comfortable walking on the wild side!
